Update 27th November 2023

Pub Natter Theme

We now have the music for our podcast which you can listen to below. It was written and produced by the up and coming talent that is Tom Arnold.

Tom is a London-based composer, conductor, orchestrator and pianist currently studying Electronic Music – Film Music at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has written large scale orchestral works for multiple projects including Derry Halloween Festival and Illuminated River Festival, termed the longest artwork installation in the world.
Tom has also collaborated on numerous short films with directors from London Film Academy, MET Film School, and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), and has ties to the Barbican Centre, providing music for their Silent Film series since 2021.
Born in Bedfordshire, Tom started the piano at the age of just 7, and has performed in multiple bands and ensembles since. Music naturally runs in Tom’s family, his grandad was a wedding singer, his dad being a professional musician and his uncle being a professional composer.

Update 16th November 2023

Our first episode is in the 'can'!

I can let you know that our first episode was recorded in The Railway Inn, Ketton, Rutland. In this episode, we have a natter with the Landlord and owner, Jamie Betts. We then natter with Rich Harris, the Chairman of Rutland CAMRA about how they campaign for the rights of pubs, beer, and cider drinkers. We also quiz him on 'real ale', and 'live beer' and how this differs from the standard beers that you can buy anywhere.

We are guestimating that this will be broadcast at the beginning of December.

Cheers.

Update 25th October 2023

We are pleased to say that we will soon start getting episodes in the 'can' for release. Not long to go.

We have recorded our beta podcast to test the technical and artistic aspects.  We interviewed our good friend Simon Coles (Link here: Coles Coffee Solutions), who is a coffee machine engineer/coffee expert and we think we could quite happily share the hints and tips presented by Simon. Maybe we will release this as a future 'extra episode'? In the snippet below from the beta podcast, Simon answers the question, what is more important for the outcome, the machine or the person making the coffee?

Pub Natter

Every fortnight you are our guest in a different old English pub in and around Rutland, where we meet the landlord, chat with interesting folk and grapple with different topics. Sometimes it's serious, sometimes it's funny, sometimes we get sidetracked...

Rutland 1
Rutland 2

For those of you who either live in London or anywhere outside of UK, Rutland is the smallest county in England and is squeezed in-between the cities of Leicester, Peterborough, Nottingham and Northampton. It's the dotty red line on both maps. The only major route that passes through is the A1 but blink and you miss it...

Here's a link to touristy type stuff: Rutland

When rain stops play, it's time for some Pub Natter

If you asked our wives, they would probably say, “Why on Earth would you want to listen to our husbands going on about stuff?”

When you have lived with either of us for over 35 years, you would probably say the same… but you have not. It will be a brand-new relationship! A new journey is about to begin.

We have demonstrated that two men can remain friends despite being on opposite sides of the political spectrum. See if you can work it out.
Tim spent ages in healthcare and then began a voyage into education, research, and public speaking. Justin started off in the construction industry and then found his feet sorting out disputes as a construction law specialist. Between us, we reckon we have the transferable skills to discuss a variety of topics, present good arguments, and ask the right questions to get interesting answers.

So, who would want to listen to us?

People who like old English pubs, bar conversations and anyone who loves the quirkiness of what it is to be 'British'.

Give us a go, you will not be disappointed…unless you are married to us.
